The discourse that was wrote and introduced by Douglas was very enticing for the African American populace just as the White American populace since he was a valid entertainer who truly realized the problems that are begging to be addressed looked by the African Americans. He is all around qualified to convey the discourse and convince the crowd since he had himself encountered the barbarities that he encountered on account of the White Americans. He had encountered the hopelessness of being a slave and was even one of the various pioneers who drove the Abolitionist Movements from the front. His experience gives him the command of being a tenable speaker and creator of the discourse according to the crowd. Moreover his continued refering to of book of scriptures and the setting in which he was refering to the holy book depicts him as an individual who is educated. Douglas kept on convincing the crowd by speaking to the feelings of the African Americans who were all the while encountering outrages because of most of the number of inhabitants in America. He utilizes different words and expressions to draw in the feelings of his crowd. For instance, he utilizes the expressions, for example, â€Å"mournful howl of millions† so as to speak to the audience’s feelings of distress just as their feeling of asking to be helped (Douglass 1). Besides he utilizes the expression â€Å"bleeding children† to interest the white crowd to feelings for the African Americans who were all the while enduring and were being treated as slaves (Douglass 1).
